| Dear Fellow BSBCCA Members,
The following summary of the
January 16, 2008 Board
Meeting was approved at the
Board meeting of February
19, 2008
- President,
John Coletti reported that all of the pending litigation is status quo.
He also informed the Board that our Lawyers were close to filing
suit in
Federal District Court
challenging the latest Declaration of Units by the Developer in which he
declared 136 lockers in the former Sales Office as Tray Units.
- Bids
for the off-season painting have been received and were reviewed.
The General Manager informed the Board that he has checked all
references and recommends accepting the bid from Martone Painting.
The Board unanimously approved the selection of Martone as the
painting contractor.
- Thus
far, we have three applicants for the position of Head Chef in the
restaurant. The General
Manager is conducting interviews.
- The
following members, being everyone that volunteered, were unanimously
appointed to this year’s Nominating Committee:
Frank Lombardi, Bill Emby, David Pope, Marybeth Holland, and Doug
Jeffrey.
- A
motion was made to consider raising the fees for additional memberships
for the current season. After
discussion, the Board voted to leave the fees as they are for this
season.
- A
lengthy discussion ensued concerning the elimination of flower boxes
under cabana windows. No
consensus could be reached, and the Board tabled the decision until the
next meeting.
- Opening
Day for the current season was set at may 17th and Closing
Day will be September 28th.
- The
Board unanimously approved a new schedule of lease fees for the coming
season as follows: $100 for a bathhouse and a mini-double bathhouse,
$150 for a double bathhouse, and $200 for a cabana.
