1.      Our former General Manager has signed the severance agreement.  It must be noted that as part of the agreement a confidentiality clause is in force that extends to the Board as well as to the staff.

2.      The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the damage that has resulted from the April 15^th storm:

a.       Several insurance adjustors have already visited the facility.  An adjustment team will arrive tomorrow and will stay for several days.

b.      Every lost and/or damaged tool must be tracked for the insurance claim.

c.       The ramps and the skirting of the facility were significantly damaged and need to be replaced.

d.      The water came through the “tunnel” and pulled up some pavers and damaged others.  These pavers need to be replaced. (A suggestion was made to alter the close-up process in the fall to include covering the floor of the pit with sand.)

e.       Damage to the live-ins needs to be repaired.

f.        The road in front of our entrance and the parking lot need to be cleared of sand.

g.       All sand needs to be sifted before it can be returned to the beach.  A maintenance permit needs to be obtained from CRMC before any sand can be returned to the beach.

h.       The beach needs to be re-graded.

i.         The dunes need to be returned to their pre-storm condition.

j.        Sand needs to be removed from under the pavilion.

k.      The pool needs to be emptied and power washed.

l.         Al Amore is prepared to bring a large crew with heavy equipment into the facility to affect all of the above-mentioned repairs.  The work can begin as early as tomorrow.

m.     The order of priority will be:  1.) clear the parking lot and provide access to the beach, 2.) repair the pit, 3.) open the pool.  The pool may not open this year until the 2^nd or 3^rd week of June, depending on the progress of repairs.

n.       We will still open the facility on May 19^th despite the fact that all repair work may not have been completed by that date.  If need be, we may have to prohibit members from using the facility during the weeks of May 21 and May 28 and restrict the use of the facility to weekends only during that time.  A decision regarding this restricted use will be made closer to May 19^th.

o.      John Coletti will compose a letter about the storm damage to be disseminated to the membership via the website.  The letter will be accompanied by pictures of the damage so that the members can see the extent of what occurred.
